“My own luck has been curious all my literary life; I never could tell a lie that anyone would doubt, nor a truth that anybody would believe..” Mark Twain
This article is for the women who do their due diligence with the tenacity of a CIA agent prior to a first date. If you’re reading this before our first date, I want to congratulate you on a successful investigation. As you can imagine, I’ve had quite a few women cancel first dates with me because of the articles I’ve written, things I’ve said on the show, as well as posted on any one of our social media accounts. No, this isn’t me pleading my case to convince you I’m a great guy.
You have your standards and I get that. You want a guy who treats you right, who has a good job, says the right things, and so on. You’ve had these standards your entire life and up until this point every single relationship you have been in has failed for one reason or another. So how is it, that a man you believed to be kind and presentable based on your initial interactions ended up being an asshole, or cheating on you, or it just didn’t work? Maybe their proficiency in niceties was just behavior developed to conceal their massive character flaws.
