Thanks for Buying

First of all, thank you for buying this theme. To make your experience pleasant, we've added as much info as needed in this documentation. If you're stuck with anything, please watch our TUTORIAL VIDEO or refer to submit ticket to our SUPPORT PAGE.

There are two methods to install the theme. If the normal installation method (a) is not supported by your web host, you will have to use the alternate option (b).

a. Normal Installation

  1. Login to WordPress Admin and browse to Appearance > Themes.
  2. Click on the Add New Theme (or "Install Themes" tab for older versions) and click Upload.
  3. Browse your computer to select "magone.zip" (it's in the zip file you downloaded from ThemeForest). Click "Install Now" button.
  4. Once it's uploaded, click the Activate link.

b. FTP Installation (alternate method)

  1. Use your FTP software to browse to wp-content/themes folder.
  2. Extract magone.zip and upload the magone folder.
  3. Once it's uploaded, go to your WordPress Admin, browse to Appearance > Themes.
  4. Click the Activate link.

Important After activation, you will be presented with several plugins that you have to activate. Do not forget to activate them all or not all of the theme features will be available.

Note If you have existing content and featured images, you will have to install Regenerate Thumbnails plugin and run it from Tools > Regen. Thumbnails.

Install Required Plugins

MagOne required Sneeit Framework plugin to work. The plugin was pre-packaged inside the theme file. So after installing and activating theme, you will see a message on top of your dashboard: This theme requires the following plugin: Sneeit Framework.

  • Just click to Begin installing plugin link on the message box.
  • Next to "Install Required Plugins", click Install link underneath the "Sneeit Framework" name.
  • Waiting site installing the plugin and then click Return to Required Plugins Installer.
  • You will return back "Install Required Plugins", just click Active link there.

Regenerate Thumbnails — Optional

If you already had images in your Media Library when you installed MagOne, you will have to resize your image thumbnails. Follow these instructions:

  • Go to Appearance > Install Plugins and install Regenerate Thumbnails plugin.
  • Next, go to Tools > Regen. Thumbnails.
  • Click the Regenerate All Thumbnails button. It will take some time depending on the number of images you have. DO NOT close your browser.

Typography You can upload fonts to Media Library. The theme will auto pick your fonts and add to font list in customize settings.

Install Demo Content — Optional

We highly recommend AGAINST using this method in production. Please only use on a an extra copy for testing or experimenting. This method may be fail on some web host environment.

Warning Please DO NOT install demo content on a WordPress site that already has a lot of content. Or the very least, make a backup first. A catastrophic mess can be created.

One Click Demo Installation

MagOne supports install demo with only ONE click.

  1. Access Appearance / Demo Installation.
  2. In "Demo Installation" page, click Install button of a template that you like
  3. You will have to wait a few minutes depending on your hosting setup. After everything done without any error, return back your home page and reload to see changes. That's it.

Tips If it fails, you will have to request your webhost to increase your PHP max_execution_time (or any other webserver timeout to at least 300 secs) and memory_limit (to at least 196M) temporarily. If you tried it on a fresh WordPress install, you can go back to fresh install by using the "WordPress Reset" plugin.

You need to active theme using your Envato user name and API key to get auto update feature.

  1. Login to WordPress Admin and browse to Appearance > Theme Activation.
  2. Input your Envato User Name and API Key.
  3. Click "Validate Now" button.
  4. Once activated successfully. Each time we release new update, you will get message "MagOne" theme was out of date. Please click here to update. Just follow the message to update the theme

Site Width

Access Appearance / Customize / General / Box Width, input your wanted width value and click Save & Publish button.

Header Layout

Access Appearance / Customize / Header, then pick the Header Layout you want and click Save & Publish button.

Logos

To upload header logo, access Appearance / Customize / Header, then add the logo image to Site Logo option as you want.

With footer logo, access Appearance / Customize / Footer, then add the logo image to Footer Logo.

After finishing all, click Save & Publish button.

Styles

For changing colors, backgrounds and fonts for your site, access Appearance / Customize / Colors / Fonts / Backgrounds. If you uploaded fonts to Media Library, your fonts will be displayed in all font lists of customizer.

When changing, wait a moment to see how the change will affect the site on preview window. You can also click Reset link to reset your value to default (with color, click Select Color then Default). After finishing all, click Save & Publish button.

Post Ads

To display Ads banner on the left top of post content, access Appearance / Customize / Post Content and input your ads HTML code into Post Ads Code field. Click Save & Publish button to apply.

Working with Builder

MagOne supports drag and drop page builder which will help you create any layout you want for your site.

To work with page builder, edit any page / post and then click Page Builder tab on the content editor. Access Page Builder

You must also consider to configure the page layout suitable for your builder content. Here is an example of settings of page layout that allows page builder content display as full width and have no sidebar: Suitable Page Layout Settings for Page Builder

Below images will show you the relation between block names and the real layout on front-end, so you will know which is exact block which need to add to layout. MagOne comes with .po/.pot file included under the wp-content/themes/magone/languages folder. The front-end strings are in magone.pot file. To translate front-end:

  1. Download and install Poedit.
  2. Open magone.pot in Poedit. Translate as needed.
  3. Save the file with the ISO language code locale. You can check this list (look under "WP Locale") to find the locale. If your locale is en_GB In this case, you would save your file as en_GB.po
  4. Step above should have generated a .po and an .mo file. Copy both these files under the wp-content/themes/magone/languagesfolder.
  5. Go to Settings > General and select your language next to Site Language.
  6. Save a backup of these files somewhere safe. If you upgrade the theme from WordPress admin, the language files will have to be re-uploaded.

If you wish to translate the backend too, you will have to follow the same steps as above but the pot file is sneeit-framework.pot and under the wp-content/plugins/sneeit-framework/languages folder.

RTL Version

For languages that read from right-to-left unlike English which is left-to-right, MagOne will automatically switch to an RTL style, as long as you it's in your language and uses the correct locale (as explained above).

Multilingual Sites

For multilingual sites, the best way is to purchase the WPML Plugin. MagOne is compatible with the plugin.

When using WPML, we recommend you use Display the language switcher in the WP Menu option and select Main Menu. This will display the languages drop down menu in the main navigation menu.
