The truth will set you free. Either that or it’ll get you a punch in the nose.

About a year ago I was out to dinner on a Friday night in downtown San Diego with my parents while they were visiting. I was still completely sober when a group of 21 year old frat boys and sorority girls stumbled out of the bar next door, a complete wreck. Two girls could barely stand up and while walking down the sidewalk, one girl dropped her phone/wallet combo. She had no clue, and me being sober and knowing what it’s like to lose everything while drunk, I picked it up and ran it over to her. When I tried to hand it to her drunk ass, both her and her friend leaned away from me and told me to leave them alone. I told them no problem, but she might want her cell phone before I do. They were shocked and apologetic but they still didn’t learn the most important lesson: Not every guy is trying to fuck you.
Not that I wouldn’t have fucked them. Given the opportunity, I would have disappointed both of them multiple times throughout the night. The key word here is ‘opportunity’. Men are opportunistic hunters. Sure, we’ll chase the big game that can feed us for days, but we’re also not above eating the rats that are always around. I’ve always said that if you could ensure a guy that none of his friends would ever find out, he would fuck almost any woman that offered.
Men being opportunistic has given women over inflated egos. They know that men will fuck them so they assume it’s because they’re attractive, or desirable. Imagine going out for dinner and after you’re done, the server offers you free dessert. You never planned on getting dessert, in fact, you’re not even in the mood for dessert. But the offer is there so you take it. What most women need to understand is that they’re not desirable, they’re just the free dessert.
